Designing Courses With Accessibility and Usability in Mind

Screen readers read out long lists of navigation links, sub-lists of links, corporate icons, site searches, and other elements before reading any main content. Those who rely on screen readers and keyboard navigation are forced to listen to and tab through all of the top links in order to reach the main content. Put in skip to main content and back to top links to solve this problem.
See WebAIM site for details on above image and for code used to create this link. This simple link greatly improves the learning experience for those using screen readers.
