I have been passionate about design since my parents gave me a Betsy McCall Designer kit for my 9th birthday. It was my first light table.
For over 15 years I have worked closely with authors, trainers, instructors, scientists and subject matter experts to translate complex, non-visual concepts into clear visuals. The designs I produce work across different media platforms which include print, web, video, eLearning, and social media.
My undergraduate studies were completed at San Francisco State University (SFSU) in the Design and Industry (DAI) program. I returned to SFSU as a graduate student and completed the Instructional Technologies (ITEC) Masters program. I have a web graphic designer certificate from Santa Rosa Junior College.
Designing with usability in mind improves the learning environment and the learner experience. I integrate Universal Design principles into online presentations, promotional print materials, assets for websites, e-Learning modules, video, and instructional materials.
